Monmouth-Roseville GK Sanchez Signs With Sandburg Soccer

Edgar Mora Sanchez of Monmouth-Roseville High School has signed to play next season for the Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team.
Sanchez was a two-year varsity player for the Titans and the primary goalkeeper for M-R’s Class 1A state runner-up team that finished 21-4-3 last fall. As a senior, Sanchez allowed just 29 goals in 23 games (1.26 per game) and made 62 saves. He recorded two clean sheets during the Titans’ tournament run, including one in the state semifinals against Elgin St. Edward.
Sanchez joins M-R teammates Kyaw Thang, Grego Massengo and Eric Suarez as part of the Chargers’ incoming recruiting class for coach Kevwe Akpore.
